What to wear

The atmosphere at PVFBC is relaxed and open. Most folks dress casually, even the pastor. The ladies wear pants and dresses. Many wear jeans. Wear what feels comfortable.

Where to park

Our parking lot is accessed from Church Street, across from Pleasant View Elementary School.

Coming from I-24 on Highway 49, bear right onto Church Street at Champion Car Wash. Coming from Ashland City on Highway 49, turn left into our driveway that leads under the awning, just past Balthrop Park (you'll see three crosses in a field).

Guest Parking spots are reserved near the main entrance, but you may park anywhere you like.

Where to go

When you arrive, look for the sign that says, "GUEST ENTRANCE." It leads into the main foyer, where the sanctuary is just to the left. There you'll find guest services volunteers ready to help answer any questions.

How we treat guests

We understand coming to a new church can be intimidating. We never ask guests to stand or single them out in any way. First time guests are encouraged to fill out an information card but are allowed to remain anonymous if they choose.

We only contact guests who give us permission (there's a place on the Guest Card for that), and we never visit without calling first.

Look for the "plan your visit with us" section below. Let us know you're coming and someone will meet you at the door to make your first time with us less daunting.

What we offer children

KidsView (K-4th) & KidsView JR (birth-pre-K) are offered on Sunday mornings during the 9 & 10:30AM hours, as well as on Wednesday nights for K-4th (during school year).

The KidsView ministry area is located in the Educational Complex, the building connected to the Sanctuary Complex by a covered walkway. Look for the KidsView sign. Guest Services volunteers will be there to help guide you to the right place.

All workers have been carefully screened and passed a thorough background check. Your children's safety is important to us.

What we offer students

The View ministers to students 5th-12th Grade. They meet Sunday mornings at 9:15AM and Wednesday nights at 6:00PM (during the school year).

All student ministry workers and volunteers are carefully screened and have passed thorough background checks.

What we believe

  • We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are the inerrant, inspired, and infallible Word of God. God's Word is the final authority for faith and life.
  • We believe there is only one God, and He has chosen to reveal Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe man was created in the image of God and the sin of Adam (the first man) marred that image, creating an eternal divide between God and man. Every person is born in sin.
  • We believe the only way a person can have a true, forgiven relationship with God is through Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus became man without ceasing to be God. Our right standing with God is made sure because of His literal, physical resurrection.
  • We believe in the literal, physical return of Jesus to judge the living and the dead.
  • We believe God offers eternal life as a free gift and that it must be received by faith alone through God's grace alone. The life that comes from this gift is a permanent possession of the one receiving it.
  • We believe the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of believers on mission to enlarge God's kingdom. The local church is autonomous, free of any external authority or control.
  • We believe the Lord's Supper and believer’s baptism are the two ordinances of the church.

Why we're here

We are here to lead people on the journey to authentic faith by loving God, loving our neighbors, sharing Jesus, and growing in grace together.
